Senko-ji - A temple with a gate directly to hell

Osaka is not known for its places of worship as compared to Kyoto. However, one of the few exceptions is Senko-ji, a small but unique Buddhist temple 30 minutes away by train from Osaka, which features demons and creatures from hell, and an oracle. You can meet Enma Daiou, the Great King of Hell. It is said that Enma Daio knows everything about what you did when you were alive. The ogre has scissors in both hands. If you lie during an interrogation by Enma Daio, this ogre will cut your tongue. Probably, the purpose of this Jigoku-do is to warn people to go to hell if they do something bad.
